Henry and I are currently working on artwork and rewriting shindiggery. But not in blog form, no. It's going in one word document, for easy reading, we're taking out SOME of the in-jokes and the story might just be a little bit funnier, insaner and more mind-meltingly awesome than ever before. Expect more shindiggery, including Will on the moon, Pam spencer and her curry-powered car and a continuation of Will's knitting saga! Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait a while, because I'm a slow writer. And I forget to add to it. There will also be an audio version, acted out by Henry and myself, with sound effects and music by the MIGHTY microkorg XL! And we may end up with a youtube video of it, but it's gonna be a LONG TIME before we get round to it.
Get ready for funsies, and get a laugh on!

In other news....
People I DON'T hate right now:
Jon, Adam, Kris, Henry, Sam and Nicole, Pam Spencer, Karl, Guy-manuel de Homem-Christo, Thomas Bangalter, Pete Burns, Buck Hollywood, Jory Caron, Jonny Paula, Riley McIlwain, Everyone at scouts except Joe, Holly and the smalls, . I think that's it.

Brief Rage Moment....
HOMOPHOBIA. What does it mean? I am sick of people constantly calling people who make negative comments towards gays homophobic. homophobes have genuine FEAR of gays, not just dislike, to the point where I even shouted at the old head of year about it. LEARN ENGLISH BITCHES! If you don't know what a word means, don't say it! Literally, somebody called someone else a faggot and suddenly they're a homophobe!?!?! This reinforces the fact that I hate EVERYONE because EVERYONE I know has said it at some point.
Piss off, all of you. You're annoying me.

Hello again Léon!
Gakken have just released a little mini theremin, it looks like an etherwave standard but white and smaller. Only about £70, and I fully intend to buy one! It sounds lovely, and I can put it through the effects on my synth. So prepare yourselves, the theremin is back in town! Only £20 and I can buy one! SCORE!
Also, I went on a canal boat holiday with a cub pack at the weekend. It was amazing, we went up the rivers lee and stort, one of the boats broke down and I met the new leadersfor the 9th Orpington explorer scout group! They're really nice, I had a great time, the boat got fixed and toast was had by all!

Fear?...
I'm seriously worried about Daft Punk. Busy P has confirmed they were working on their new album last year, taking their time, but I don't know what's going to come out of it. Human after all was, let's face it, pretty bad. What if this time they go for half an hour of white noise or just one note held for a whole track? I REALLY want them to go back to the way they were before, but the new album is coming out some time this year and I suppose I just have to see how it goes. But if it's REALLY bad, I might not buy it. That's a terible thing to say, but theyd better be good.

A Tutorial Moment...
If you have a microkorg XL and you're reading this... coincidence much!
Find a patch you don't like, go to page "utility - init.prog", select y or yes with knob 2 or 3 and then write (which should be flashing). go to oscillator 1, and change the waveform to pulse wave, and that's it! You might also want to put a bit of highpass filter on, for the crappy 8bit gameboy speakers. set common - assign to mono.
Also, an initialized patch with a sine wave (monophonic), some portamento and vibrato on the mod wheel. Lowpass filter, but with cutoff at 120 - 127 so it warms it up but you cant really hear. Thats a theremin sound!

again...sorry, I think
My microkorg XL was delivered 2 or 3 days after ordering. It's awesome. Fellow musician Jon Boutell (epyks.co.cc) has been helping me rewrite daft punk songs with slightly different lyrics. We've got "Atour le Monde" (around the world in French) "Cuban after all" (Human after all) and a slightly racist version of harder better faster stronger (which is going on HIS youtube channel if uploaded). I've been vocoding constantly for days, playing around, changing, writing my own programs. I've got theremin sound (problem 1 solved) and and 8bit sound i made myself (for techno into-ey things, sounds like a gameboy, with filtering to simulate the crappy speaker). I will post some more later on. Over and out, blogbitches.

Erm....sorry?
The theremin. Since before I decided to save to buy one, I have been thinking about the microKORG synthesiser. Its a hardware synth, and it has a vocoder. But so many people complained about it, I though the theremin was a better idea. Since my birthday (12th February 2009), I have been able to afford the theremin, but recently korg released the microKORG XL. It seems that all of the old problems (The crappy keyboard, crappy vocoder, crappy vocoder mic) Have been sorted out, and they've changed the editing system to one I understand (With a screen that can show words!).
On Friday, I ordered it. From digital village at DV247.com. I am (I believe) One of the first people in the country to own one of these (I bought it just hours after it came into stock and most other websites are still only preordering). I decided to buy it because I feel it is more relevant to the music I make and listen to, an extension of my love for soft synths. There will quite likely be Youtube videos, I might post them here, and the aidin project may still survive (albeit without the frantic waving at a little black shoebox, or screaming noises every time I high-five someone).

Latest musical news-age
As of hristmas, I now have a korg nanoKEY usb MIDI controller. This means an end to all that playing stuff on a computer keyboard, and everything's lovely. I am also now 80-ish quid away from buying a theremin and all of the bits to make it work, since finding a lot of small change in my there-tin. The "project" arising from the purchase shall be called "A.I.D.I.N." (All I Do Is Noise) and will involve music, and theremin-related experiments. enjoy
